As with most beginnings, BOOM! starts with my own story. After a professional life on the East Coast, I had packed up my bags and moved back to the West Coast—from New York to San Francisco. I was having a lot of conversations with friends, colleagues, and peers about the Tech industry, challenges, strategies to flourish, and what was next - for me and them. Common themes repeated themselves over and over again. Two things were clear: women leaders had no place to discuss these topics and having one-off conversations was not benefiting as many as it could.

Oddly, at the time I looked, I was surprised to learn there weren’t groups that addressed this need. I didn’t want a networking group; there are plenty of those and they serve their purpose. I wanted a place I could talk to others just like me in an intimate, confidential environment to get collective experience, insights, wisdom from successful, seasoned women leaders who have been slaying dragons in the coliseum and want to continue to do so, just smarter and better. And on their terms. So thus, in 2016, BOOM! was born. 

BOOM!'s mission is to be a national community and cohort focused on unlocking, accelerating and realizing female leadership potential in the Tech industry.
